  1. In regards to technology use: the early years teachers were speaking the other day about how we feel speech therapy referrals are up as well as a range of social/behavioural issues. This was just general discussions not backed up by hard data to look at actuall trends. But we were wondering if this could be due to the decreased adult child interaction due to the use of iPads and other devices reducing the amount of actual talk time in increasingly busy lives.
Also in regards to talking to students about the big topics I came across First News in the Uk which would be great spring board for discussions. 🙂
